As a cat owner, I love this picture because it shows how cats seem to intuitively know when they are needed and wanted. But what I really love about this picture, is how the unknown cat came to cuddle with this sleeping man. As Andrew writes, his father was recovering from surgery when his mother left the house, leaving the door slightly ajar. And so, a cat decided to take advantage of that open door and enter. The end result was that he was found cuddling on the chest of the owner, who responded, in his sleep, by holding the cat’s paw. In life, there are times that we need support, we need comfort, we need someone to let us know they care. But that can be hard to ask for or even admit. Yet, if we simply leave the door open, then help can come, even without us looking for it.
