I accidentally dropped a birthday card for a friend while walking to the post box a month ago which had a $300 gift card in it as a surprise (a bit more than usual to help out due to covid stuff.) My daughter wanted to contribute $150 from her jobkeeper to share the love too. (Very Proud Mumma)
We hoped a kind samaritan might find the card and pop it in the closest Letterbox but after 3 weeks it wasn’t looking good, so I transferred a new batch of money – directly to my friends account this time!!!
Then low and behold she just told me it arrived with a beautiful note from a ‘Mark’ 4 weeks after I dropped it! (Zoom in to read it) Good karma coming your way Mark.
I then wanted to find someone else in need to give the $300 gift card to. As fate would have it I was chatting on messenger to a lovely lady who shared that she recently separated from her husband.
Due to lock down she is the sole carer of their 2 special needs children, without a lot of funds to get by – so that made my decision easy who to give the gift card to.
I can’t wait until she receives it in the mail and hopefully makes her day! If you’re reading this now- surprise!
