It is easy to see all the things that separate us from others. And all too often, we can spend years having rifts or disagreements with people, when sometimes a simple act of kindness can bridge that gap. This incident is simple and sweet, but often that is exactly what is needed to make friends from enemies. As we all collectively deal with the challenging time of this global pandemic, think how much better our lives would be if we could all reach out to one person we have been distant from, and do something small to get a bit closer. Tiffany Power posted the following and it is something so many of us can relate to…
“A neighbour and I have argued for years over land borders, disputes over pretty much everything. They know I walk past their lemon tree daily. I’ve always admired it, despite our differences
Tonight I came home to so many lemons, here are just a few. Note attached read, “Life is short, you’re welcome to our lemons, life is for living and we’ve been foolish.”
I agree. We both have been awful to each other. Currently making lemon meringue pie to return their kindness.”
