Sometimes you can bring a smile to another in the most unlikely of ways. Stacey Truman found one of them…leaving uplifting, encouraging and inspiring messages to her students on banana peels. She has been working at the Kingston Elementary School’s cafeteria in Virginia for almost ten years and one day decided to start doing something for the students she had always done for her own children. And while it is a simple act, it is one that can make a big impact. Stacey has no way of knowing what a kid might be going through and how hard their day might be, but she does know that when they pick up a banana in the lunch line, they will know that someone is thinking of them, caring about them and took the time to let them know. And positivity has a ripple effect so by making one child feel better, that child then will help spread that kindness and the ultimate impact can be huge. Generally we think that the sweetness of the banana is on the inside, but thanks to Stacey, in this case it is on the outside as well!
