It’s hard to ask for help. Especially from strangers. But when we do, amazing things can happen. We often feel that asking for help is an inconvenience to the other, but what we must remember is that when we ask, we are giving the opportunity to another to give. So many people worry that they aren’t doing anything productive or helpful. They wonder if they are making a difference at all. So when we ask for that help, we are actually not taking but giving, as they now have received the ability to do something that can impact another’s life.  Just look at this picture…5,000 men, women and children, stood for hours in the rain to help a boy they don’t know. Because they could. So they did. The Hebrew word “to help” is “la’azor” and its root is “oz” which means “strength” or “might.” The act of helping doesn’t only strengthen the one who receives it, but strengthens the one who gives it. So if you are in need of help, please ask. You have no idea how much someone needs that opportunity to help you.
