No one is sure who she is, as she chooses to remain anonymous. But what is known is that this 87-year-old woman has dedicated about 75 days knitting 75 winter hats for children in need. She placed those hats at the Nelson Memorial Park in Plymouth, MA for anyone to take who was cold. For the recipients, they will know that not only did someone think about them, care for their well being and give them something very needed, but that this woman dedicated her time, a full day per hat, to provide for them. This beautiful woman is instilling the message that someone cares, even though she is a perfect stranger. The Hebrew word for “love” is “ahavah” and its root is “hav” which means “to give.” This woman is not just giving so many a hat, but she is giving them her love, something that will most definitely warm them on the coldest of days.
